What is an Urban Doomer?
First off, welcome to The Urban Doomer! You already completed the hardest part in any task, showing up.With everything that has happened in the last few years there are now more doomers than ever. The hard part about being a doomer is that not all of us want to go live on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. Some of us doomers like the comforts and pleasures that come from city living. This is where the urban doomer comes in. An urban doomer is someone that worries about the impending potential "dooms" that could come in a variety of forms while also not wanting to give up their current urban lifestyle.
"Doomer" and "doomerism" are terms which arose primarily on the internet to describe people worried about global problems such as overpopulation, peak oil, climate change, and pollution. Some doomers assert there is a possibility these problems will bring about human extinction.
What is the purpose of this newsletter?
With any good relationship in life I hope that this newsletter can be beneficial for the both of us. For you, the reader, I hope to share with you all the necessary products, tips, and tricks to live the best urban doomer lifestyle. For me, your anonymous(ish) writer, I hope to grow the awareness of the growing urban doomer population so that more can become aware, join the cause, and potentially innovate and create more useful products for the space.
